Sickle Cell has become topical in many ways, so in this episode, we hear from Naomi Simpson, mother to two gorgeous girls living with Sickle Cell Disorder. We hear how patients & their loved ones aren’t really listened to. We then have a gem, from Blood Donors, Campaigners & Allies on why Black Blood donation is so important.
We end the whole series with the voice of Juliet Iswan, a Sickle Cell Warrior by her own description. She talks about living with the condition before ending with her sheer gratitude to blood donors.

Dr. Pippa Bailey talks us through the research she does around kidney disease & kidney failure. We have Angella Ditchfield, a Specialist Nurse, Organ Donation (SNOD). She shares the facts about speaking to families who go on to donate their loved one's organs and the positive impact on society. It also features a nephrologist, Dr. Wilf Okoroafor, who ends this episode with the science bits on what the kidney does. He also reiterates the importance of organ donation.

All adults in England are now considered to have agreed to be an organ donor when they die unless they have recorded a decision not to donate or are in one of the excluded groups.
